Dr. Julie Reed grew up on a hobby farm outside of Peterborough where her love of animals began at an early age (thanks to the assorted cats, dogs and horses that were always around!). She completed an undergraduate degree at McMaster University before pursuing veterinary medicine at the University of Guelph where she graduated in 2018. She started working for Upper Canada Veterinary Group Inc. shortly after graduation and has loved her time here in Kingston, especially exploring the water and various hiking trails. She particularly enjoys the relationships she has the privilege to form with clients and getting to support her patients throughout their lives, from puppy/kitten visits onwards.
When she is not at work, you can probably find her reading a good book, baking or hanging out with her menagerie (which currently includes a cantankerous cat named Izzy, a retired service dog named Gillian and 3 horses).
